Classroom supplies at no cost to families for every Public Schools Branch student from Kindergarten to Grade 9 - pencils, pens, binders, scribblers, folders, paper, crayons, markers and art supplies. Verbatim: "All students enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 9 are eligible for the initiative."

The catch: It covers the classroom list and not the shopping list. The province names what is still on the family: backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles, indoor footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, calculators, headphones and geometry sets, and schools may ask for more for particular classes. It is also Public Schools Branch only, which leaves out the French-language board.
