Alberta Unclaimed Property Register

Government of Alberta

Around 344,808 items worth roughly $168M sit in Alberta's register - traveller's cheques, money orders, RRSP and RESP balances, property of dissolved corporations. Searching is free, by name including nicknames and former names.

The catch: Claims must be filed within 10 years of the Tax and Revenue Administration receiving the property. Alberta's own search hands off to MissingMoney.com for results, so search there too rather than assuming one covers the other.
