Alabama Child Care Subsidy

Help with the cost of child care for working, training or studying Alabama parents, paid to an approved provider.
The catch: Most new applications are waitlisted. Ordinary applications received on or after 8 May 2026 go onto a first-come waitlist until further notice, while named priority categories continue to be accepted - so for most families this is a queue rather than a benefit, and it is worth applying precisely because the queue is first-come. A parent fee may still apply depending on income.
