Georgia Export Grant - 75 per cent back on export costs, while the money lasts

Georgia Department of Economic Development

Reimbursement of pre-approved export development costs for Georgia small businesses: trade show booths and international travel, translation and localisation of marketing material and websites, export credit insurance premiums, the ExportGA training course and US Commercial Service programmes. 75 per cent of actual expenses per activity, rising to 90 per cent for companies representing underserved small business communities as defined by the SBA.

The catch: It reimburses, so you pay for the booth and the flights first and claim afterwards - and there may be nothing left to claim from. The state's own funding disclosure puts the whole programme at a federal share of $310,000 against a non-federal share of $103,333, which is roughly $413,000 for every exporter in Georgia, and applications are accepted "during each grant period, or until all grant funds are dispersed - whichever comes first". You need to be incorporated in the United States, operating in Georgia, in business at least a year, within SBA size standards, and selling goods or services with at least 51 per cent US content.
