EPCOR backwater valve subsidy - up to $800

Up to $800 paid by cheque toward installing a backwater valve, for Edmonton homes built before 1989 that have flooded from a sanitary sewer backup or sit in a neighbourhood with flooding history.

The catch: Subject to available funding, first come first served - this is a capped pot, not an entitlement. The home must predate 1989, must not already have a valve, and the address must not have had the subsidy before. Installation must be by a professional plumber using an approved valve model, with a City inspection.
