Alberta Manufacturing Productivity Grant - up to $30,000

A two-year pilot begun in mid-2025 giving small and medium manufacturers up to $30,000 in matching funding, plus advice and expertise, for technology upgrades and new machinery. Over $4 million is available and roughly 130 businesses are expected to be supported. Eligible costs include capital equipment, materials, training and installation, professional fees and direct labour on the project.

The catch: It is matching funding: the grant covers a maximum of 50 per cent of eligible costs, so $30,000 of grant needs $30,000 of your own money. You must have a physical Alberta location that makes, refines, refurbishes or processes a product, employ between 5 and 750 people, and have been incorporated continuously for two years or more. The equipment has to be used in Alberta. Applications go through Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, not through Alberta.ca.
