When a mandatory evacuation order runs 7 days or more, Alberta pays $1,250 per adult and $500 per dependent under 18, by e-transfer, usually within 24 hours of applying. There is a standing terms page year-round and a separate portal that opens when an event is declared.
The catch: You must have actually left under a mandatory order - staying in your community during one disqualifies you. You have 60 days from the start of the order. You can apply without a verified Alberta.ca Account, but the e-transfer will not arrive until you have started verification.
